Addictive Soft Pretzels

5 cups flour                         butter to brush on pretzel
1/4 cup white sugar              sea salt 
4 tsps. quick rise yeast
1/4 cup oil
1 1/2 cup warm water

1/3 cup baking soda
5 cups boiling water

Mix flour, sugar, quick rise yeast then add oil and 1 1/2 cups water. Mix until a soft dough. Knead dough for 8-10 minutes by hand. If too wet and sticky add a little flour, if too dry and crumbly add a little water. When done kneading divide dough into 10-12 pieces then roll and twist into pretzel shapes. Preheat oven to 450.

Bring about 5 cups of water to boil then add baking soda and reduce heat. Dunk each pretzel in the baking soda mixture for 5-10 seconds then place on greased cookie sheet. Brush with butter or margarine.
Bake at 450 for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Sprinkle with sea salt. Great with yellow mustard on them :)
